AQUA LUNG STORM

Available in five sizes and seven colors.

Jon Whittle

$89 | aqualung.com

Made of lightweight, durable Monprene, this compact fin is well-suited for dive travel. The compact blade provides plenty of power, yet remains small for easy packing and transport. The Storm has an open-heel foot pocket, but is designed to be worn as a full-foot fin. The hybrid design helps prevent fatigue, and the ergonomic bungee makes for quick and easy donning and doffing.

CRESSI GARA MODULAR SPRINT

Cressi Gara Modular Sprint

Excellent propulsive performance that’s easy on the legs.

Jon Whittle

$129.95 | cressi.com

The Sprint is modeled after Cressi’s popular Gara Modular Impulse fin. While 8 inches (20 centimeters) shorter than the Impulse, it still shares many of its predecessor’s features, including an interchangeable blade with a 29-degree angled blade tip and a self-adjusting foot pocket. Extremely thin and light, the blade has a thickness that slopes to zero toward the fin tip to improve performance.

GENESIS FLOW

Genesis Flow Fins

Powerful, efficient fins provide plenty of thrust with reduced fatigue.

Jon Whittle

$115 | genesisscuba.com

Strong lateral ribs provide the Flow with a powerful forward thrust for solid flutter-kick performance and good stability. Multiple channels along the blade allow for flexibility and reduced muscle fatigue. The bungee strap attached to the open-heel foot pocket features an ergonomic heel pad and generously sized finger loop for easy donning and doffing.

GULL GT

Gull GT Fins

Wide opening on foot pocket allows easy access for drysuit boots.

Jon Whittle

$390 | gull.kinugawa-net.com
The drysuit-friendly, jet-styled GT fin is constructed with the unique flexibility of Kinugawa rubber for a perfect marriage of power and precision. The wide blade, stabilized by specially designed jet holes, is able to move massive amounts of water and provide plenty of thrust when diving with a heavy load or against a strong current. The durable spring strap is built directly into the fin.

GULL SUPER MEW XX DRY

Gull Super Mew XX Dry

Thick soles ensure more power is transferred to the tip of the blade for increased efficiency.

Jon Whittle

$290 | gull.kinugawa-net.com
Made of a heavier, higher-density rubber than the standard Super Mew and sporting a handy spring strap, the XX Dry is tailored for drysuit divers. The fin uses a hybrid rubber that combines flexible and stiff compounds to optimize comfort and performance. The 12-inch (31-centimeter) blade is quick and responsive, with a blade tip designed to catch water throughout the kick cycle for smooth propulsion.

SCUBAPRO GO SPORT

Scubapro Go Sport Fins

Boot-friendly compact travel fin with outsize performance and custom options.

Jon Whittle

$139 | scubapro.com This compact fin—available in five colors—packs a punch thanks to its angled blade and ventral support rails that allow it to kick like a much larger fin. The short, carry-on-friendly blade is highly maneuverable and performs well in all kicking styles. A comfortable open-heel foot pocket sports an easy-to-grasp bungee. Interchangeable skegs offer customized stability.

SEAC F1S

Seac F1S

Stylish Italian design, available in four sizes and six colors.

Jon Whittle

$129 | seacsub.com

With a lively blade made of high-performance technopolymers, the F1S is flexible and lightweight as well as durable enough to stand up to heavy use. The elastic Sling Strap has a large finger loop for easy donning and doffing, with a cushioned heel pad for comfortable daylong kicking. A nonslip sole and a comfortable foot pocket provide a stable, secure fit.

TUSA HYFLEX SWITCH

Tusa Hyflex Switch Fins

Blades easily detach for simple carry-on packing.

Jon Whittle

$199 | tusa.com

Comfort, power and versatility are at the heart of this capable open-heel fin. The snappy, responsive blade is angled for a powerful kick. Special ridges behind the blade vent reduce resistance to create a smoother, more efficient stroke. The interchangeable blade unbolts from the foot pocket in seconds for easy packing, and the ergonomic bungee strap can be adjusted without tools.
