Buddy Dive Resort Celebrates Karol Meyer Record Dive

The Free Diving Event at Buddy Dive Resort Bonaire came to a close on May 11th. It was a busy week during which Karol Meyer conducted her famous freediving clinic to help other grow in the sport.

Meyer also achieved a new world record in the dive modality of Skandalopetra, reaching a depth of 68.9 meters.

As a token of thanks to Meyer, Paul Coolen, resort manager of Buddy Dive Resort, arranged for a carnival band to play Samba music to celebrate her achievement.

He also presented Meyer with a Suunto D9 Dive Computer, so she can be reminded of Bonaire while she is making record diving attempts in the future.
