Tumon, Guam - Wednesday, August 2, 2006--The Guam Visitors Bureau will participate in the annual Diving Equipment and Marketing Association Show, the largest international trade event for the diving, action water sports and adventure travel industries. This widely attended show will be held in Orlando, Florida from November 8th through the 11th with more than 10,000 participants expected.

GVB will partner with neighbors Palau, Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and the Marshall Islands, along with Continental Airlines, to showcase the incredible diving found only in Micronesia. GVB will present an exclusive Dive Guam seminar and in conjunction with our partners, will also present a Dive Micronesia seminar. Both seminars are expected to garner high attendance and introduce potential visitors to the beauty of some of the world¿s oldest reefs, unique sea life, and diving amongst some of history¿s most memorable shipwrecks, including Guam¿s Apra Harbor, the only place in the world where the wrecks from two world wars lay side by side beneath the sea.

The annual DEMA Show is an excellent stage for Guam and Micronesia to team up with local business partners and present both the underwater beauty of our region and the high-tech quality of our diving and related water sport industries.
