PRO DIVE® Announces Special ROS® Program for December

PRO DIVE® Announces Special ROS® Program for DecemberPro Dive International® announced today that its final ROS® (Resort Operations Specialist) course of 2006 will be very special. Not only will the course be a pilot program for Pro Dive's highly anticipated new curriculum, but it will include an opportunity to learn from the man who literally wrote the book, Dr. Alex Brylske.

Brylske, the author of the ROS® program, as well as many other dive training programs and materials, will be the lead instructor for this pilot course, which begins on December 28th. "We've been busy revising the program since May," says Brylske, "and this will be the first chance to put the new curriculum into practice."

While the ROS® course still retains much of its original content, including a heavy emphasis on boat operations, equipment maintenance/repair and training in emergency management, entirely new segments have been added on marketing sustainable tourism, coral reef ecology and customer service. Another exciting new addition is instructor certification in the recently introduced Beautiful Oceans Science Diver marine biology program.

"We're confident that the new ROS® course will continue to set the standard for turning out the most qualified and sought-after employees in diving," says Brylske. "Not only will it provide graduates with a solid grounding in resort operations, it will also equip them with a thorough understanding of the changing nature of the dive travel industry and market."

Alex advises anyone who owns, plans on owning, or simply wants to work at a dive resort to strongly consider enrolling in ROS®. An acknowledged expert in the field, Dr. Brylske was the 2001 recipient of NOAA's prestigious Walter B. Jones Memorial Excellence Award for Coastal and Ocean Management for his contribution to sustainable marine tourism.

Space is limited for the December 28th class so those who want to be one of the first to hold this new, revised ROS® certification should contact David Spangler immediately by calling 800-800-3483 or by e-mailing [email protected].
