Reef Relief Holiday Auction Ends Soon!
Reef Relief's online Holiday Auction at www.reefrelief.org is open for bidding until midnight, Friday, December 15th, so check it out for some great holiday shopping for a good cause. Thanks to strong support from many businesses, including our sponsors American Express, Key West Citizen, Blue Marlin Motel, Comcast, Strunk Lumber/Ace Hardware, Tropical Cottages and Waterfront Market the auction catalog features a wide array of choices.
How about a Sunset Champagne Cruise for you and 48 of your closest friends aboard the Sebago? Or a Bob-Weir- autographed Grateful Diver sweatshirt? If you ever wanted to have lunch with Mayor Morgan McPherson, dive the reef with Dr. Brian Lapointe, enjoy happy hour at the Reef Bar in Washington DC with author David Helvarg, or tour the salt ponds with Russ Draper, these and more celebrity experiences are yours to be had for the winning bid.
The auction site also features an exotic Gabbeh rug from Archeo Gallery, round trip airfare on Gulfstream/Continental Airlines, Dreaming Goddess silk finery , an Atocha coin, nautical items for your boat compliments of West Marine, a dive buoyancy compensator from World Watersports, a Southpoint Divers reef clean up dive expedition in Key West, a Snuba trip for two with Snuba of Key West, health & fitness experiences such as a visit to the White Street Chiropractic, Yoga on the Beach, or Oriental Medicine, seaglass jewelry set in sterling silver by Marlee Mason and hand made originals from Jan Kuypers; and lots of guesthouse and resort stays in Key West, far-away travel getaways, dinners, books and other merchandise.
The site features art collections by Key West artists Ray Rolston, David Harrison Wright, Robert Johnson, John Kiraly, Jon O'Halloran, Janis Stevens, Martha Watson Sauer, Tony Van Hasselt, Clyde Hensley's collection of Eastern Cuban art, and music CD's by Rick Steffen, Paul Knapp Jr., and a holiday album by Brian Roberts. "Sea of Color" a lithograph donated by Wyland and the featured item on our holiday online auction postcard announcement is still available.
This is Reef Relief's main fundraising event of the year and will support the nonprofit groups efforts to protect our endangered coral reefs. So go online, bid on the items and encourage your friends to do the same. We have something for everyone on your list.
So far, over $27,000 has been bid on, but our goal for this year is $50,000, so help us get there! For more information, contact Reef Relief at (305)294-3100 or email [email protected].
