Bimini is home to a variety of diving including the wreck of the Saponam, which was used for target practice in World War II. Light penetration is possible through its many holes for divers to swim in and out of. Bimini is also home to the ruins of the road that some scientists believe may reveal evidence of ancient Atlantis.

The islands are popular in late winter for near-shore dives with great hammerheads, and year-round for other shark and dolphin encounters.
