Boy Scouts Scuba Diving Merit Badge

Since the launch of the new Boy Scouts Scuba Diving Merit Badge, scouts across the United States have been eager to get certified!
A fun summer activity for kids of all ages, scuba diving isn’t just limited to the ocean. Scouts can dive practically anywhere there’s water – from a lake to the sprints and all points in between, including the ocean, quarries, and rivers.
To earn a Scuba Diving Merit Badge, Boy Scouts must complete four main components:
- Boy Scouts of Americas (BSA) requirements
- Scuba knowledge development
- Confined Water Dives
- Open Water Dives
Scouts that are already certified in scuba just have to complete the remaining BSA requirements to receive their merit badge!
PADI Dive Centers and Resorts are official BSA affiliates and the premier training facilities for the Boy Scouts of America. Find a PADI Dive Center or Resort in your area to get started today!
