Akona Gear Bags
I travel all the time and I'm brutal on my gear bags. In fact, I'm in Borneo as I write this, and my Akona has just shown up after a few days touring the world on its own. I'm actually doing a "test dive" on my Akona bags, seeing how they hold up over the course of a year of hard travel -- even when they don't travel with me (dang airlines). So far, so good. I'm four trips, several wet boats, sand, heat, one exploding can of sunscreen and about 45,000 miles into the year and my bags are holding up great. The wheels have been rock steady, the zippers too. Both of these are usually the weak parts for my typically overstuffed bags. And the seams still look new and solid. I'm thinking these bags are gonna be in my gear closet for a while. This is a good thing since I've finally figured out exactly how to separate my dive dear from my clean (and dirty) clothes, and have found a place for all 50 pounds of my stuff. Usually there's room to spare for gifts for my kids too.
