Grand Cayman's Seaview to Offer Exciting New Programs

The Seaview Hotel & Dive Resort, located on the quiet side of George Town, Grand Cayman, announces several new and exciting changes in its accommodations and diving programs.

Alisha Racz, reservations manager, and Ron Kipp, lessor, have managed the hotel for the past six months. Kipp was owner and operator of Bob Soto's Diving from 1980 to 2001.

The new diving program, managed by Seaview Divers under the auspices of Treasure Island Divers, will operate two-tank morning and afternoon boat dives. These dives will be a combination of guided and computer dives, depending on the guests' desires.

"This is a considerable change in the way business had been done and is long overdue. Experienced divers can simply dive their computers on the first dive or second dive in either the morning or afternoon — or both!" Kipp remarks. The morning-boat-dive program features wall and shallow dives, while the afternoon program features two shallow dives of 40 to 50 feet.

Shore diving is a big plus for the Seaview, says Hoss Freh, operations manager of Treasure Island Divers operations manager. Divers can explore the reef system or dive the wall 24 hours a day, seven days a week, as unlimited tanks and weight belts are the part of every dive package. TI Divers is enjoying its 16th year in Grand Cayman.

New staff at the Seaview includes Petra Kotze, an experienced 10-year PADI Master Instructor from South Africa. Kotze, along with Racz, coordinates all diving arrangements including boat diving, shore diving, training and rentals. Nitrox is available at the onsite PADI 5 Star dive shop.

Food and beverage manager Jae Pangilinan announced his support of the program by starting full breakfast service from 6:45 a.m. along with new exciting breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at the Naked Fish restaurant.

Racz announced that all of the Seaview's rooms have been upgraded with refrigerators, microwaves and coffee makers. These additions come without any price increase. Take advantage of these terrific programs and packages at the same reasonable room rates in place since 2000. The summer room rate from April 12 to Dec. 12, 2004, is only US$99 for single or double occupancy plus tax. No gratuities are added to the rate, and of course, dive and group packages are available.

In addition, effective April 10, 2004, the property will be equipped with the ZyAIR B-4000 for wireless computer usage. Unique to Cayman, where charges for this service can start at CI$5 per hour, the Seaview has made this high-speed Internet experience free to hotel guests.
