Dive Damai

Dive Damai’s two liveaboards offer both luxury and practical work spaces for photographers.

Dive Damai

Through decades of working on Indonesia-based liveaboards, Alberto Reija saw a need for a different liveaboard concept: Dive Damai was born to bring the highest level of luxury to underwater photographers seeking adventure. Damai I and Damai II explore new territory outside of the usual itineraries. These yachts dive Komodo in December and January, when most liveaboards are absent. They also sail to the Mapia Atoll near West Papua, known for exotic species and large aggregations of sailfin snapper, jacks and barracuda. On board, a staff of 18 look after no more than 12 guests; in the water, a guide dives with four guests. Massages are offered from the private spa services area, and rooms have work stations to make for easy photo and video editing. Chefs give guests a memorable, multicultural experience with every meal.

2025 Readers Choice Awards

Indonesia was voted No. 1 for Best Destination in the Pacific, Indian and Mediterranean region. It also won first place for Photography.
