Florida Dive Show Returns
December 2-3, 2006 at Palm Beach County Convention Center
The dates have been announced for the second annual Florida Dive Show. The consumer show will be held December 2nd and 3rd, 2006 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Show hours: Saturday 9:30am to 6:30pm, Sunday 10am to 5pm. Ticket prices are $15. The show features dive certification companies, dive equipment manufacturers, dive destinations, and educational programs. High school and elementary students who join the Sea Science Program are admitted free.
"Last year's show was a great success," commented Norman Bruhn, managing partner of the Florida Dive show. "This year we are making it even better. From an increase in exhibitors and notable guest speakers to a special student program, we will deepen the positive impact the show has on the community. We want to introduce a whole new generation to scuba diving." a From dive equipment manufacturers to exotic vacation destinations, more than 150 exhibitors will be at the Florida Dive Show. Exhibitors include clothing companies, jewelry designers, artists, and dive destinations. Hotels, dive shops from Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Ft. Pierce as well as other exhibitors will be offering special deals available only at the show.
Educational seminars, held daily from 12 noon until 3:30 pm, include safety and diving, underwater photography, fish identification, global travel, diving for kids, wreck diving, and more. Reef conservation groups will be offering tips and guidelines to protect local systems and regional dive boat operators will illustrate the differences between each county's reef and wreck diving. Guest speakers include top industry authors and divers and the Tech Conference is back for all technical divers and those who are interested in pushing the limits of underwater exploration.
Elementary and high school teachers can sign their students up for the Sea Science, an educational program which offers complimentary tickets for students. The Florida Dive Show is a consumer show focused on education, awareness and safety in the dive community and beyond.
