ScubaLab Mask Tests 2011: Subgear Sprite

Subgear Sprite

Jon Whittle/ Carrie Garcia

Subgear Sprite
ScubaLab tested the Subgear Sprite’s frameless design in bright white silicone, with a fun floral design on the top of the skirt. A plain white silicone version is also available. Built for a smaller face, the Sprite is an extremely low- volume single-lens mask with a surprisingly comfortable and pliable silicone skirt. The Sprite had the second-best combined vertical-view FOV score, and offers an especially good downward view. Testers were able to clear and equalize the Sprite easily, and all appreciated the ease of adjustment of the buckles. Female testers loved the graphic design and, more important, the fit.

GOOD FOR
Small faces; divers who prefer a low-volume mask

FIELD OF VIEW

Prescription Lenses No
Weight 0.2 ozs.
