New World Publications made a major update to its widely popular fish identification books. In addition to the nine different books available on its website as PDF ebooks, New World Publications now offers an enhanced ebook for the Apple iBooks Store.

One of the major benefits to the new format is that the ebook has the search functionality of an app, allowing readers to quickly scan volume's different sections in order to find their mystery fish. It also incorporates multi-touch gestures and clickable thumbnails at the beginning of chapters that make navigating to the fish you are looking up easy and intuitive. Another change is that instead of sharing space, each species has been given its own page along with additional photographs.
