Track Stars Marion Jones and Tim Montgomery Learn to Dive in the Cayman Islands

Widely known as one of the world's best dive destinations, the Cayman Islands has taught and certified people from all walks of life in the sport of scuba diving, and now they have certified the 'world's fastest couple'.

Marion Jones, the first female track and field athlete to win five medals at a single Olympics in Sydney, and her partner Tim Montgomery, the reigning men's 100M world record holder, were in the Cayman Islands training for the 2004 indoor track & field season. After weeks of intense workouts, the couple, along with track stars Anson Henry and the Cayman Islands' own Karreem Streete-Thompson, got the opportunity to test their sea lungs in an intimate dive class with Red Sail Sports instructor David Koenigsberg.

"Tim and I are very excited to be traveling to the Cayman Islands to train during the month of January," remarked Jones.
