Splendid toadfish
Location: Cozumel, Mexico Dive Site: Paradise Reef Marine Life ID: Splendid toadfish Camera: Olympus c5050z Settings: 1/60 sec, f-8, ISO 64, internal flash Description: I could not physically get down under the ledge where this guy was hiding, so I just set my camera down in front of him and hoped for the best!
Brittle stars
Location: Cozumel, Mexico Dive Site: Shore dive Marine Life ID: Brittle stars Camera: Olympus c5050z Settings: 1/60 sec, f-8, ISO 64, DS-125 strobe set at TTL Description: This was taken on a night dive from shore. I loved the different colors of the stars, and the way they were "posed", I just couldn't pass them by!
Hermit crab
Location: Cozumel, Mexico Dive Site: Shore dive Marine Life ID: Hermit crab Camera: Olympus c5050z Settings: 1/60 sec, f-8, ISO 64, Dual DS-125 strobe set at TTL Description: This was taken on an afternoon shore dive. This was a crab with "attitude", and he was making sure I knew he was king of the mountain!
Caribbean reef octopus
Location: Cozumel, Mexico Dive Site: Shore dive Marine Life ID: Caribbean reef octopus Camera: Olympus c5050z Settings: 1/60 sec, f-8, ISO 64, DS-125 strobe set at 1/2 Description: This was taken on a night dive from shore. This octopus was surrounded by paparazzi, and he was desperately trying to find a hole. Luckily he paused just long enough to pose for me.
Conch
Location: Cozumel, Mexico Dive Site: Shore dive Marine Life ID: Conch Camera: Olympus c5050z Settings: 1/60 sec, f-8, ISO 64, no flash Description: This was taken on a late afternoon shore dive. I loved the surreal surroundings of the grass flats that I was exploring, and was lucky enough to find this beautiful conch shell, just waiting for me to photograph it.
