The Thorfin is an awful dive boat
We booked the Thorfin for 12 days but got off after 7 losing $2000. This is a 170ft steam dive boat that does not have a dive deck. Nitrox was supplied but the first dive and many others were below nitrox limits. No dive master, no place to wash equiptment "bc's do not need to be washed". The water maker was defective so water was salty as well as tea and coffee. Food was just terrible all meals. 70 year old captain/owner lives aboard with his 24 year old wife and two young kids who run all over and even go out on dive skiffs (with out life jackets). Captain has the "Bligh" syndrome. All the rest of the crew seem to be related to wife. The boat only moved once then used long skiff rides to get to dive spots. Diving was great but many times much too deep (160 ft). Truk is a dirty foul place in general. If you want to dive wrecks in Truk go from the blue lagoon better diving and living.
