Donate to Bonne Terre Mine’s Annual Treasure Hunt
Want to get your name in front of over 400,000 clicks from Scuba Divers? Have you ever been guaranteed 5 minutes selling time with over 130 divers? That’s exactly what you get when you donate to Bonne Terre Mine’s Annual Treasure Hunt.
Vendors who donate to the event will have their name listed on our Event Banner. The banner is hosted on several websites and collectively will receive over 400,000 impressions.
Bonne Terre Mine’s annual Treasure Hunt attracts divers from all over the US, Canada and even Europe for a great day of diving, camaraderie. Divers collect tokens on both of their dives. Between dives vendors are waiting to show their latest and greatest products and dive destinations. Over 130 divers are required to go to each booth and have the vendors initial their auction book. (That’s how we guarantee 5 minutes of personal selling time with every diver). A barbeque is provided after the last dive of the day, followed by the auction of gear and trips. Divers use their tokens to bid on the donated trips and products. (No Cash Allowed)
“It’s not often that a manufacturer gets some serious face time with divers who are spending all day diving!” said Mike Martin of Mares. “I had approximately 130 plus divers visit the Mares booth to see and discuss dive equipment. It was great!”
Bob Stubs the Sales Manager from Ikelight said “All participants who visited our booth were friendly and very interested in Ikelite products. The staff at West End was extremely helpful and could not have been better. Thank you for the invitation and we hope to attend again next year”
Ed Richards from Equinox Video Housings wrote “Working with the staff has been an amazing experience and getting to meet each individual diver has allowed us to educate them on our entire Equinox product line. We would like to thank the entire staff and all of their participants! See you next year!”
IST’s representative Kalab Knight comments were “The concept of the event creates an environment in which hundreds of divers and their families are required to introduce themselves to each vendor, one after another, for the purpose of familiarizing themselves with the products or services the vendors provide. I was very busy all through the day, discussing my products and interacting with every one of the visitors. All of the participants are excited and thoroughly enjoying themselves, so I had a very productive and fun day promoting my business direct to the consumer.
The Treasure Hunt will take place on June 2, 2012 in Bonne Terre, MO, approximately one-hour southwest of St. Louis. Bonne Terre Mine, a national historic site, is the world’s largest fresh water dive resort in what was once the largest lead mines in the world. The Billion Gallon Lake provides constant conditions for year-round diving, is equipped with 500,000 watts of above-water lighting and provides 100-foot visibility.
