Could Jennifer Lawrence — star of The Hunger Games and Silver Linings Playbook — be your next dive buddy?

Not likely, but the 26-year-old actress revealed to E! News that she recently went scuba diving and regretted that she didn’t have an underwater camera. “I just went scuba diving and I didn’t have one. I saw sharks and I didn’t panic and I didn’t have a freaking camera,” she sighed.

No word on whether the popular actress actually unwrapped an underwater camera on Christmas Day or when and where she went scuba diving, but Lawrence is set to star in the long-awaited James Cameron cinematic version of The Dive – the tragic love story of Pipin Ferraras and Audrey Mestre. The film will focus on the story of Pipin and Audrey up to and including the day she died during a no-limits free-diving record attempt on October 12, 2002, in the Dominican Republic.

In May 2015, Lawrence chartered a boat with Spearmex, a spearfishing and scuba diving service in Punta de Mita, Mexico, but it's not known whether she did any scuba diving on that vacation. In 2012, the actress donned a wetsuit and got into the Ocean Voyager tank at the Georgia Aquarium, but we could not confirm she did that while on scuba.
