The Specialty of the Month Program

Be a better diver and earn free stuff from PADI -- take the Specialty of the Month!

Starting in May 2005, PADI Diving Society will pick a PADI Specialty Diver course as the Specialty of the Month. Society members who take the Specialty of the Month receive a free gift from PADI!

Why take specialties? Specialty courses are a great way to refine your skills and define the kind of diver you are. The more time you spend honing your skills and having fun underwater, the more opportunities you'll have to make discoveries of your own.

For example, try the PADI Night Diver Specialty course to shed new light on a familiar dive site or take your underwater photography skills to the next level with a Peak Performance Buoyancy course. If you'd rather research the riddle of a wreck that lies just off your coast, you'll want the PADI Wreck, Deep and Enriched Air Diver specialties under your belt to give you the skills and experience you need to explore it thoroughly. The list goes on, but no matter which PADI Specialty Diver course you take, you'll learn to make the most of every minute you spend underwater

Who can participate in the Specialty of the Month? Any certified diver can take PADI Specialty Diver courses. But, to receive free gifts from PADI, you must be a PADI Diving Society member and a PADI Adventure, Advanced Open Water or Rescue Diver.* For more information on PADI Diving Society, or to join, contact your local PADI Dive Center or Resort or click here.

If you're an Open Water Diver, the Advanced Open Water Diver course is a great way to sample PADI Specialty Diver courses. (After your deep and navigation dives, you can choose three more dives from PADI's most popular specialty dives.)

*Open Water Divers currently enrolled in an Adventure or Advanced Open Water Diver course may also participate.

Specialty courses and becoming a Master Scuba Diver To achieve your PADI Master Scuba Diver rating -PADI's highest nonprofessional diver rating which denotes superior achievement- you'll need five PADI Specialty Diver certifications, so why not pick up some free stuff while you're getting them?
