Communication is key when it comes to scuba diving. That's why it's important to know the most common scuba diving hand signals and be on the same page as your buddy before every dive when it comes to the most necessary phrases. Hand signals can help you clarify anything from "out of air," to "look, a shark!"

Most divers have their own twists and takes on many hand signals, but we set out to demonstrate the most common so you can see how divers communicate and brush up on some of the signals.
