The USVI offers a multitude of undersea pleasures
What to Expect
St. Thomas, St John, and St. Croix offer distinctly different underwater experiences. Most dive sites are shallow, and feature low to mid-relief reef structure. St. Thomas is the best wreck site, while St. John is ideal for new divers with its shallow, lively coral reefs that are largely free of currents. St. Croix has the most to offer advanced divers, including one of the finest walls in the Caribbean. Visibility is best during summer months, and swells may also be smaller at this time. Air temps range from 80 to 85 degrees, water temps from the upper 70s to mid-80s, and visibility averages between 60 to 100 feet.
