Console or Wrist?
Console mounts eliminate the need to keep track of yet another piece of dive gear, but wrist-mounted computers provide at-a-glace reference, which is why they are preferred by many advanced and technical scuba divers to monitor time and depth closely.

Information Please
The latest generation of dive computers can display a lot of data, and with enlarged color screens now a more accessible option, information escalation will likely continue. When using a feature-rich computer, make sure the display always provides the essentials, such as NDL and depth, in a clearly visible fashion.

Algorithm, Schalgorithm
Every dive computer manufacturer had developed their own proprietary modifications to the basic decompression models. Rather than geeking out on the finer points of a given computer’s mathematical equations, focus on its capabilities, and understand where it fits into the liberal/conservative deco curve.
