The New Tovatec Mera Combines a Dive Light with a Camera
The Tovatec Mera might be the best example of a “Why didn’t I think of this?” invention on the market. The Mera combines a dive and video light with an HD action camera, allowing you to light up a dive while filming the action.
The Mera — with its simple three-button control — has a 1,000-lumen primary dive light, a wider 1,000-lumen video light and a camera.

• The camera can capture both stills and 1080p video.
• The flood beam has a 120-degree beam angle, while the more focused beam has a 12-degree beam.
• The Mera runs on a lithium-ion battery, which can power the light on high for 2.5 hours, or for 90 minutes with the camera activated.
• An SD memory card can be inserted into the inside of the Mera’s head.
• The light has four power modes – both flood and spot beams at 100 percent and 50 percent (500 lumens).
• The Mera has color indicators that help you identify when you the camera is turned on, when it has taken a photo and when it is recording video.
• The camera’s field of view corresponds with the 120-degree flood beam. So you know what you’re recording based on what is in view of your light.
