Winners of the 2014 Ocean Art Contest
More than 60 underwater photographers are being honored — and awarded — for their stellar photography in the 2014 Ocean Art Photo Competition. The annual contest is organized by the Underwater Photography Guide and features 12 categories: Wide-Angle, Macro, Portrait, Behavior, Novice, Nudibranchs, Super Macro, Divers/Fashion, Cold Water, Compact Behavior, Compact Wide Angle and Compact Macro.
The contest was judged by a panel of photographers including Tony Wu, Martin Edge, Marty Snyderman and Scott Gietler, and featured photos from around the globe.
Photographer Ray Collins took home the Best of Show award with his photo of a breaking wave at Kirra Beach, Australia, and prizes valued at more then $70,000 were distributed among the winners.
