Kids Sea Camp is introducing the most recent addition to their family vacations- Grand Bahama Island from August 9-16, 2008. Located just 60 miles off the coast of Florida, Grand Bahama is an easy getaway for travelers. The International Underwater Explorers Society (UNEXSO) and Pelican Bay at Lucaya are teaming up to host Kids Sea Camp Bahamas.

Kids Sea Camp (KSC) was created by Margo Peyton in 2001 as a way for families who love the ocean to enjoy learning to explore the underwater world together. Joining forces with PADI Five-star Dive Centers & Resorts in 7 countries around the world, KSC destinations include such exotic places as the Cayman Islands, Bonaire, Honduras, Fiji, Galapagos, Costa Rica, now the exciting location of Grand Bahama.

UNEXSO was founded in 1965 as the world's first ever dedicated diving resort. Today it continues to provide one of the safest and most advanced PADI 5 Star facilities for divers in the Bahamas. UNEXSO offers a wide variety of activities, an expansive retail store, a large deep water pool with viewing windows for watching the kids learn to dive and the poolside Dive In Bar & Grill. Unique diving is offered like the Dolphin Experience and the adrenaline pumping world famous Shark Dive. Of course, there is plenty of fantastic Bahamas Reef, Wreck and Wall diving only 20 minutes from the dock.

Topside activities for the kids include dolphin education at Sanctuary Bay, kayak tours at the Lucayan National Park, seeing how natives "crack conch" and learning about native plant life and how it can be used as "bush medicine." Kids will have an opportunity to discover Junkanoo where the Bahamians come together in handmade costumes to create song and dance.

Kids Sea Camp offers PADI programs for kids age 5-15 years of age. SASY for kids age 5 and older, and PADI Seal Team for kids age 8 and older.
